“I used to hate coffee. It was a flavourless, bitter drink. A frustrating catalyst to so many social engagements. Then I got a job in a respected coffee company, working closely with roasters and tasters. I experienced the exceptional flavours of specific regional coffees and have spent the better part of a decade falling in love with this drink.
But how did I spend so long assuming coffee meant dehydrated robusta granules gulped down with a digestive? Why is good coffee so hard to find? Why is coffee packaging confusing, and home brewing intimidating? STACKS was established as a solution to these questions. We aim to bring you a carefully curated selection of good coffee that is ethically sourced and simple to buy. Or as we like to say – complex coffee made simple.”
– Marshall Kingston (founder)
All our coffees are ‘ethically sourced’ meaning that the farmers are receiving a fair wage for their labour. In some cases our growers have gone even further; The pioneering CAFÉ FEMENINO, for example, aims to lift women out of poverty through coffee growing and trading. By supporting these ethical practices we hope to play a small part in these life changing stories
All of our coffee is ‘speciality grade’ (anything over a Q-grade of 80/100). This means that professional coffee tasters (Q-graders) have rated our beans to be of the most premium quality. Only 3% of the global coffee yield achieves such a status. Our collection has been carefully curated to offer a wide variety of flavour options, all distinct, all exceptional.
Speciality coffee is often over priced, difficult to find, and accompanied by convoluted jargon. Why can’t delicious coffee be easy? Well, it can! Our website, packaging, ordering and delivery systems are designed to alleviate confusion and hassle, so you can simply appreciate good coffee at the best possible price.
